hello, I've written a Tcl script to automatically increment an FPGA version number every time my design is compiled. The version number is in a library file called FPGA_Version.vhd. The Tcl script is called when synthesis is run (using tcl.pre in "Synthesis Settings") which reads this file, increments the version number and writes the new information to a temporary file, deletes the old FPGA_Version.vhd file and then renames the temporary file to FPGA_Version.vhd. This all works nicely from the Tcl Console, but when integrated into the synthesis run Vivado throws an error complaining that "dont_touch.xdc" is missing from the same directory in which FPGA_Version.vhd is stored. Please help. Thanks! I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
